Fourth of July Fun

So many Fourth of July happenings to tell about. So much family & friends, food, and fireworks. This was one of the first holidays that Nate's parents got to celebrate with us since moving here. There were also a lot of firsts for Holden. The first was staying up when it was dark out. He absolutely loved it. He laid down several times in the grass and wanted to sleep there. He was ecstatic about the moon. His second first was lighting fireworks and watching them. Last year they were too loud for him, but this year he loved them. His third and last was catching lightening bugs. Looking for bugs is his favorite, so I knew catchign these critters would be a hit. He squashed severeal of them while keeping them safe in his hands.
Nate and I both stayed up way too late enjoying the summer night visiting with friends. We both agreed we were too old to stay up late. Thank goodness for leftovers, so no cooking for me today.
