Settling into School

It's been forever since I posted a blog, but thought that I really need to get back at it. School is back in session and we're beginning to get used to our early morning routine of getting out of the house by 6:30 a.m. The boys are adjusting to the new babysitter and so am I. We realized we were so lucky last year.

Nate took this past week off to escape work and do some odds and ends at home. He tackled the project of revamping our potting shed. He had his parents to help. What lifesavers they are!!

Holden is really into playing with dirt. One night after he'd been washed in the tub, he had two big globs of dirt in the corners of his eyes, and his ears were also pretty full. Then, after getting him out of the tub, I realized his nose was filled up too. Such a dirt and bug lover! In the mornings he's started eating his cereal at the table in a big chair. He also has really started to carry on conversations with me in the car. Usually we talk about semi's, but he tries to be funny. It's so cute.

Cole is getting ornerier by the day. He loves taking Holden's prized toy and being chased. He gladly gives it back, just to take it away a few minutes later. Its constant entertainment at our house. He also loves to go on four wheeler rides with Nate. If he sees the back garage open he heads there and will take my hand to lead me out there. He's starting to say more words such as broom, yea, up, down, pwease, duck, and a few others.
